Large Autumn Landscape Oil Painting Bird Migration

Autumn Landscape Bird Migration Large Impressionist Original Oil Painting

My friend Autumn finally arrived.
Earth exposed, wind carries a whistle sound.
The trees one by one are shedding their clothes.
Leaves on fire, twirl toward the barren ground.

Bright sunny days, gone like a dream,
But I don’t feel sad, no… not sad at all.
When cool rain kisses my face, I feel at home
I sigh and my heart fills with joy, it’s finally fall.

Everyone gets ready for harsher days and nights.
Birds cry, crows crow,
Autumn’s clock winds down the year
Misty mornings a prelude to eventual snow
Autumn my Friend is here!

Autumn Migration Birds and Panoramic Landscape Oil Painting

This is such a gorgeous painting in person. I painted this with so much oil paint. No fillers all good rich oil painting of the highest quality. I used brushes and palette knifes. The trees is what I remember from growing up in Alsace France. Same in Germany where I lived later. The story goes that during hard times and war people used to cut off just the new branches for firewood.

They left the trunk and tree alive so it could later made new shoots and more fire wood. This is why these trees look like they do. You see them occasionally in VanGogh’s paintings as well.
