Amalfi Italy Summer Fun in Sherbet Colors. A watercolor and ink painting visiting Amalfi.

Carefree people in Amalfi on the Italian coast and locals and tourists frolic in the Summer sun. What else would they do in paradise but enjoy life. Where you get up in the morning, walk out onto a balcony to overlook the ocean and breath fresh, salty air. I imagine someone will fall in love today. Amalfi is knows for it’s great dining and elegant sophistication. 
I squeezed my Sherbet colors on my palette and decided to keep most of the painting light. Most of the houses are white and they dominate this bright painting. I tried to do justice  to this vibrant city but wanted to capture movement and liveliness

The Amalfi Coast is located in the Province of Salerno of southern Italy.

If I had to pick a country, other than my birth place France or my adopted home the United States, to live in, it would be Italy. Really any region would do fine. I love Italy and the Italian people.
