Positano Summer Beach Paintings of Italy by Ginette Callaway

Positano is a much visited picturesque village on the Amalfi Coast. I give you this  Original Watercolor and ink done in my way which I describe as "Intuitive" manner!  I use very basic broad understanding of the houses and structurers as well as activities of a certain scene, this helps me to stay focused on the overall impression and less on detail.  
I usually pick out certain structures that are unique and recognizable of a town or city. From there I build up my painting without trying to draw of paint in everything exactly. I paint an impression of what I see when I see my subject.
