I Included close up details of the painting, please look at them. It’s a great painting if you like snakes. I think snakes often get a bad wrap but in reality they are a very important part of nature and without them we would quickly find out, how important they are in rodent control for example.

More non venomous Black Indigo’s means less venomous rattle snakes. Yes in a confrontation the non venomous Indigo Snake will most definitely win. The Eastern Indigo Snake is a wonderful animal. The eastern indigo snake is a large, black, non venomous snake found in the southeastern U.S. It is widely distributed throughout central and South Florida, but primarily occurs in sand hill habitats in northern Florida and southern Georgia.
