We all know that Paris was revered as a city for romance, however sometimes we overlook the small places. Cities that hold a time honored charm. A city for lovers and poets is what I call Annecy. It has a gorgeous lake, small bridges Monet would die for, promenades along the river Thiou and enough shade trees to sit under and write poetry all day long. I see couples of all ages holding hands while crossing the Lovers Bridge.

Pont des Amours crosses the Annecy canal, where the river Thiou meanders into Lake Annecy. The whole town and region along and around the lake is a place you could stay for a long time and find beauty every day.
