Bearded Irises Splendor is a celebration of color. Colors are my playground and  Irises let me explore them. Add to that lines and the fun ability of watercolors to blend and flow and create it’s own organic world on paper. What I love about watercolors are the endless possibilities. I can paint hard lines, soft edges, organic flows that mix in unexpected ways.
I can be controlled or allow the watercolors to tell me where to place my brush next. Bearded irises are a watercolor painters dream, because they have so many variations in colors it’s impossible to run out of ideas.
