I want to invite you to visit my new Ginette Fine Art backup website. It’s in my name Ginette Callaway ginettecallaway.com and will continue to grow and hopefully in a year or two totally replace this site. Why?
Well ginettefineart.com is hosted on Bluehost, but to my disappointment I must say their server downtime is not acceptable to me much longer.
The site goes down a lot and it’s a guess for how long.
It can be minutes but too often it’s hours. I pay a lot of money to host my site with Bluehost but Bluehost is not living up to the standards it used to have. Bluehost customer service is unfulfilling. Then there are THE PLUGINS. I use WordPress via Bluehost but without a bunch of plugins you really can’t get a fully functioning website with checkout features. Each of these plugins cost money, some a lot. It adds up quickly and their presence can make a site vulnerable to hacking. So I installed top of the line firewall feature, more maintenance, monitoring etc. The firewall has kept my site save so far, so that is working well, but with the though security settings, it creates other issues. Too much to think about. No time to relax and paint.
The WooCommerce plugin is difficult to maintain, too man bells and whistles. Too much to monitor and troubleshoot.
I just want to paint and showcase my art with quality images, so people can see the art well and have a way to buy them, paying through a secure system.
So I opened up ginettecallaway.com
I want to simplify, the look of the site, the way people can reach me, support me, communicate and ask question.
A more artistic site with a personal touch.

I included a Discussion forum, where people can create a log in account and have a community to talk about art related issues.
You need to create a log in password for it. I hope this will take off.
