This is one of my larger watercolors and ink paintings. It has a wide format, great painting to frame and make a show piece over a fireplace or seating area. The colors are as usual vibrant. I paint with the best quality watercolor paints and my style has many layers. Which makes it very textural and vibrant. If you need to see  more pictures or close up please let me know. I wrote a little imaginary story for this piece. I hope you enjoy it.

“Sonja and Mario hold each other in a warm embrace as they look at the glorious sunset during their return to Amalfi Italy.  40 years ago they got married in Amalfi. It is where they wanted to renew their vows. The four children, three girls and one boy are part of the ceremony. The children are adults today with families and children. The generations together, young and old this is so very Italian. “What a wonderful life we have!” whispered Sonja close to Mario’s ear. “Yes we do!” He replied, not taking his eyes of the sunset but leaning his cheek against hers. After so many years some things do not have to be spoken.”

The Amalfi Coast is named an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Towns on The Amalfi Coast include Vietri sul Mare, Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Ravello, Scala, Atrani, Amalfi, Conca dei Marini, Furore, Praiano and Positano.
