My watercolor art is colorful and whimsical. This floral watercolor painting came up from my imagination and observations and some photo references. Therefore my floral paintings are something other than a botanical depiction, they are  lovely and lively, infused with my own quirkiness! I often get the question: “How do you keep your watercolors so vibrant?” the answer is layers and not muddying them up and clean brushes!

Poppies hold various meaning in different cultures, throughout history. The pink poppy is tied to having a vivid imagination among many other meanings. That definitely describes me.  I can’t imagine a garden without poppies. Pink, red, blue, white they all add grace and elegance to a cottage garden.  If the garden teams with bees and butterflies, attracted by poppies and other gorgeous flowers, it’s also truly a garden of my heart, but the biggest most perfect garden has no fences!
