How do I paint my watercolors and ink? I call it free style because for the most part I never draw things out with pencil, I dive right in with my black ink and dipping pens. It’s fearless style 🙂 When you look at the architecture of structures like the Saint Peter Basilica you see lots of detail and ornate events. I don’t want to draw them precisely but I want to get an overall impression of the structure. 

The ink I use is sumi ink or india ink that dries waterproof. After my fluid intuitive ink work has dried I begin with the watercolor application. Places like Venice or Rome and historical architecture like  Saint Peter Basilica are excellent for my style of intuitive drawing with ink.
