Venice Canals are one of the major attractions that draws millions to visit this historic and gorgeous city.
The architecture, the Churches the unique layout of the city with the Grand Canal winding though, there is no other city Like Venice with it’s canals
I painted this in my well known watercolors and ink style, lose and whimsical, hopefully capturing what I imagine about Venice because I never been to this enchanted place. All this resides in my imagination and maybe that is best because Venice canals are places of mystery to me. I can’t imagine what it must be like to live there full time. Instead of hopping on a bike or car you get on a gondola? Well I read that the gondolas are mostly for tourists now.
This watercolors and ink painting has a vibrant palette mostly cool palette with hot warm tones balancing it out, I hope.
