Late Summer Thistles is a gorgeous oil painting done in my signature palette knife and brush technique. I lean heavily on impressionism but I try to be original and unique.

In this painting I especially love the colors. Using purples and blues even the green tones are a bluish tone. Late Summer Thistles is an unusual floral painting. I love to give attention to those flowers that grow wild in nature and lo bring medicinal properties with them. A beauty with prickles and healing, is in my book unbeatable. The arm browns and beige give it a balanced warm touch enhancing the overall cool palette.

You probably know that I am painting in oil and watercolors. Ginette fine Art has been around since 1999. My art career started on EBAY many moons ago. Eventually I created my own website and Ginette Fine Art Blog is where i share thoughts, words, experiences and I will be doing more of that. My art is what keeps me going. It’s been almost 30 years. I came to the US 32 years ago from Germany. Now I am a full time artist. It’s my life.
