My latest piece, titled Vibrant Wildflower Garden Impressionist Floral Art,
Chamomile & Comfrey Medicinal Garden measures 20 by 20 inches and is created with acrylic paint on a textured surface. Before beginning, I built up a rich foundation using gesso and plaster of Paris to add a lush, tactile quality to the canvas. This groundwork allows the expressive brushstrokes to catch light and shadow, giving the flowers an almost sculptural presence.
At the heart of this work is a rich tapestry of purple and green tones that pulse with life. Abstract flowers—some with delicate white petals and warm orange centers, others glowing in shades of deep purple, blue, and pink—intertwine seamlessly with lush leaves and stems.
