My palette for this painting is blue with touches of violet set off by bright yellow and touches of green. Spring and blue hyacinth go hand in hand in my world. My mother grew them every spring from bulbs on the window sill.
I used brushes and a palette knife to sculpt the blue hyacinth flower head and all the little intricacies of this tactile painting. I am sure you will love it because it really is so much better in person.

You probably know that I am painting in oil and watercolors. Ginette fine Art has been around since 1999, where my art can be found. My career started on EBAY many moons ago but eventually I created my own website Ginette Fine Art. It is also where my my Blog is and where I share thoughts, words, experiences and I will be doing more of that. My art is what keeps me going. It’s been almost 30 years. I came to the US 32 years ago from Germany. Now I am a full time artist. It’s my life.
