Here is a painting for you if you are like me a lover of cooking and good healthy cuisine. Food Art Purple Garlic is just one of many paintings I have done, celebrating healthy green garden wonders.

I wanted to paint the kind of garlic that has lots of purple in the skins and produce large bulbs. The painting is perfect in a kitchen or dining room. My palette is green tones and purples. This painting has a unique texture to it that comes from the bold strokes I created with pastels. Pastel color are not what I use often but I did here because I saw it fitting for some reason. It was just instinct. They have strong colors.

Garlic should be in every home, it is a super healthy herb filled with antioxidants that have contributed to human health for millennia. Purple Garlic is a bit milder than white garlic but just as healthy as the white one. Here in the US most garlic comes from California, the central California region accounts for 90% of all Garlic grown in the US.
