I think time stands still in Savannah Georgia, under the watch of the famous Bird Girl. When I immigrated to the United States I eventually ended up living permanently in Georgia. My explorations took me to many places within the surrounding States.

Among my favorite cities to visit was Savannah, Georgia. It has something special, eerie unspoken, permanent, traditional but much more than that. You expect tradition but you also may just get weird instead.

I was waiting for 1920 jazz music floating in the warm humid air. Georgia Bird Girl is surrounded by ghostly trees, that are so familiar in the south. They are charming, alive and sometimes spooky. I painted this piece with the same high quality artist oils as I do all my art. It is done on fine linen canvas, not cotton. The painting is stretched on heavy duty bars. The palette is deep and rich, the paint is thick. I give you photos and a video clip so you can see. It’s absolutely gorgeous.
