Description
Wetland Magic Giant Fallen Tree Landscape painted in a palette of blue tones, various green tones, warm yellow and orange with accents done in vibrant pastels. I tried to capture the unapologetic wilderness, with it’s disarming charm and colors, but never underestimate to surprises you find. A giant fallen tree lies across the water like a sculpture from an alien world.
Time will take back the giant tree, to become food for new life. Nobody will come to clean up but it’s all taken care of by mother nature. It’s a world where it matters to be a problem solver and fearless, otherwise just as in life, the transient visitor may easily become a victim. The wetland water can be black from all the decaying vegetation like a black tea, or almost clear green colored, depending on location. Animals live and thrive as if it is the easiest thing to do, they are adapted to the conditions and climate.
I used Watercolors & ink and did final touches with pastel in vibrant colors. My inspiration for this comes to me from the American South’s wildlife wetlands.
My explorations took me to many places within the surrounding States. Mostly Georgia, Florida, South Carolina this is the regions I have called my home for over 30 years!
