I created this piece as part of a series celebrating the diverse nature and indigenous plants of Texas, including the wild fruit trees that flourish in the area. The Mexican plum tree not only produces edible fruit for delicious pies but also showcases stunning pink and white blossoms that inspired me to capture their beauty on canvas.
