North Georgia where I often go, provides inspiration to paint cool autumn trees.

Trees who’s colors are so warm and vibrant that it takes the cool chill out of the air. Autumn colors paint gorgeous wide vistas, especially if you get to some of the highest points. This is a 12 by 12 inches original painting. I painted this in 2012 but it is like brand new, since I stored it safely in a box as I do with all my art.

I chose a palette of warm hues with green and neutral accents, layered the colors on in lush knife strokes.
