Description
Savannah Georgia Bonaventure Cemetery Impression is painted in a palette of warm tones, harmonized with cool blue and neutral gray. I call this palette my “Bird Girl” palette because I started to paint the “Savannah Bird Girl” many years ago in oil, using a rich colorful palette comprised of magenta with Indian yellow glazed with transparent reds vibrant warm yellows. accented with blues, all mingle together creating an air of mystery with history in my paintings of the American South. I don’t go for pastel pale watercolors but for rich deep layered colors. This is my Watercolors & ink, the way I like them. My inspiration for this comes to me from the American South’s lifestyle, culture, history and mystery.
