Hummingbird Paintings / Palette Knife Oil / Oil On Paper

I do many hummingbird paintings. These darling birds are one of my favorite tiny birds to paint. Using a palette knife I layered on some rich texture without losing detail. 

I painted this hummingbird one on heavy paper that I also use for watercolors. It is Arches 300 lb, which is perfectly fine for oil paintings as well.

Mostly done with palette knife. I am including some detail images so you can really see the texture.  You would frame this or have it framed just like an oil on canvas. The paper will be hinged to a acid free mat board and framed. No need for glass. I varnished this piece just like my larger canvas oils.
