Delphiniums Flowers Impressionist Palette Knife Oil Painting is a small Impasto painting in vivid colors Impressionist style.
My palette is primarily magenta and blue tones for the flowers with complimenting warm tones orange and some red. The impasto technique is a very textured oil application, that will leave you amazed. I used a palette knife and brushes to make the magic happen. This small painting will not disappoint. it is more amazing in person then I can show here. Delphiniums Flowers are a beloved plant in many American gardens. I saw some amazing examples at Callaway gardens in Georgia a few years back.
If you look at the close up images you can see the brushstrokes. I used bristles brushes and palette knife for this. Varied direction create movement and as always let the colors of Provence sing.
